Mari Cornell has been involved in the music business her entire life. Born in Nashville, TN, she’s had the immense privilege of growing up in the same space as names like The Wooten Brothers, Michael McDonald, and Chris Stapleton. She began singing and writing songs at a young age. Taking on singing in churches across the nation with her family at the age of two, she unknowingly triggered the development of strong gospel and soul roots. When she was eleven years old, Mari’s family bought her first guitar. Since then, Mari has been in love with all the hippie music she surrounds herself with on a daily basis.
Over the years, Mari has grown into the blues as well as playing with elements of hip hop, funk, and experimental rock. She prides herself on creating and maintaining a vibe to fit any atmosphere. No matter where, Mari boasts a disarming sense of self-expression and awareness. These skills have helped her to read a wide variety of rooms, from weddings to dancehalls and everything in between. Mari has always been allured by the eccentric music she binds to her heart.
